User Testing Study — Please read carefully before signing.

Purpose of the Study

Family Technology Advisors is conducting a user testing study to evaluate an early-stage service that helps parents address technology-related challenges with their children. Your participation will help us understand whether the service is clear, useful, and actionable for families.

What Participation Involves

• Four sessions over four weeks, each approximately 45 minutes, conducted remotely via Zoom
• Session 1: Background discussion about your family and technology concerns, followed by an AI-led interview and generation of a personalized plan
• Sessions 2–4: Weekly check-ins to review progress, discuss challenges, and provide feedback
• You may also be asked to use the service between sessions and share your experience

Recording and Use of Data

• All sessions will be recorded (audio and video) via Zoom
• Recordings and any data collected (including your name, email address, and question responses) will be used for internal purposes only
• Recordings will be used to review sessions, identify themes, and improve the service
• Your recordings, likeness, and responses will not be shared publicly, sold, or used for marketing purposes

Confidentiality

• The service you are testing is in early development. You agree to keep all details about the service, its features, and your experience confidential
• Please do not share screenshots, descriptions, or details of the service with anyone outside of the research team

Compensation

• You will receive a $100 gift card in appreciation of your participation
• Compensation will be provided upon completion of all four sessions

Voluntary Participation and Right to Withdraw

• Your participation is entirely voluntary
• You may withdraw at any time, for any reason, without penalty or loss of compensation
• You may decline to answer any question during a session
• If you choose to withdraw, any recordings made up to that point may still be used for internal analysis unless you request their deletion

Data Handling

• Your personal information (name and email) will be stored securely and used only to schedule sessions and deliver compensation
• Session recordings will be stored securely and accessible only to the Family Technology Advisors research team
